The Cupcake & Crossbones: Dangerously Delicious!

The Cupcake & Crossbones is our signature dessert over here in these parts. It is dangerously delicious and although it may be one of our least "healthiest" recipes on this blog, you will be happy that we shared it. Treating yourself to one of these bad boys or splitting it with someone worthy of tasting something so delicious will have you knowing that yes.....this is heaven in a jar.

What You Need:

-Brownie mix
-Mason jars
-Yellow cake mix
-Red food color
-Cream cheese frosting
- Chocolate/vanilla swirl Ice cream
-Whipped cream
-Sprinkles
-Plastic ziplock bag (to apply frosting)
-Chocolate chip cookies

What You Do:

-Cook brownies according to package
-While brownies are cooking, prepare cupcakes doing as the package instructs
-Add red food coloring (or whatever color you want your cupcakes to be) for pink cupcakes
-Fill cupcake tin up as shown above
-Once brownies are done pop your cupcakes in the oven and bake according to the package
-Flip the brownies out on a flat surface and use the rim of your mason jars to cut out circles as shown above
(it is ok if the brownies start falling apart on your flat surface because you can easily mold them back into a ball and flatten it out to create more brownie patties)
-Drop each brownie patty in a jar and place a chocolate chip cookie on top
-Take the cupcakes out once they are done baking to cool
-Once cupcakes are cool, spoon your frosting into a ziplock bag and cut the corner tip of the bag off
-In a circular motion add a touch of frosting to the top as shown above
-Add a pinch of sprinkles to the top of your cupcakes
-Once you are ready to devour your jar of goodness, scoop a nice big spoon of ice cream on top of your cookie.
-Spray some whipped cream on that bad boy.
-Place the mason jar rim back onto your jar
-Stick your cupcake in the top opening of your mason jar
-Dig in!

Makes aprox 9 jars.

If you have some extra time to spare, follow the recipe for the cupcakes, brownies, and frosting like so.
